During the past two weeks, Israel has detained at least two NGO operatives accused of funnelling charitiable funds to Hamas to build its terrorism infrastructure. Jerusalem has also indicated there are more arrests to come.
In response, Hamas has fired back, this time in a press release published yesterday.
Focusing on Israel's Prime Minister instead of the Jewish State, Sami Abu Zuhri, spokesman for Hamas, began the statement by asserting the allegation "that funds from some international organizations were seized by Hamas are utter lies and baseless fabrications."
According to Hamas, Netanyahu has three reasons for the alleged lies: to "mislead" international opinion, hinder humanitarian aid, and "justify the criminal siege imposed on the population of Gaza."
Claiming that Netanyahu "killed hundreds of women and children ...in the 2014 war on Gaza," the terrorist organizaion further asserts that Israel's Prime Minister is "an icon of terrorism and criminality" whose "lies shall fade and fail to whitewash his bloody image."
The English language press release did not mention the 4,564 rockets and mortars fired by Hamas during the seven week conflict in 2014. Nor was there any mention of its extensive effort since that war to rebuild tunnels and restock its arsenal to attack the Jewish State again.
According to the Hamas charter, adopted 18 August 1988, "peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement." Moreover, "here is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad." Why? Because, in the name of Allah, Hamas says its entire charter "for the sake of Allah."
Indeed, the goal of Hamas, according to the charter, "to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine."
Accordingly, it concludes, "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."
It is from this public declared ideological framework that Hamas accuses Israel and its Prime Minister of "terrorism and criminality" whose "lies shall fade and fail to whitewash his bloody image."
